Privacy Policy

Last updated 9 September 2026. This policy explains how Stridman Pty (Ltd) ("Stridman", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. What personal information we collect

Through this website: when you use our contact form, book a consultation, or email or message us directly, we collect what you give us — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the details of the enquiry itself. Our booking page is embedded from Calendly, which collects the scheduling details you enter there directly.

Through anonymised site analytics: we use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. This does not identify you individually.

Through client engagements: once you engage us to build a system (a CRM, internal tool, or automation), we may process business data you provide for the purpose of that project — which can include personal information belonging to your own customers or staff. In that relationship, you (the client) remain the responsible party under POPIA for that data, and we act as an operator, processing it only on your instruction and for the purpose you've engaged us for.

2. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

We process enquiry and booking details to respond to you and to take the steps you request before entering into an agreement — this is necessary for a contract you're asking us to consider, or covered by your consent in submitting the form.

We process client project data under instruction from, and for the duration of, our contract with the client.

We use analytics on a legitimate-interest basis, to keep the site fast and working — it is aggregated and not used to identify individual visitors.

3. Whether your information leaves South Africa

We run this site and our internal tools on third-party infrastructure providers, which can include hosting, database and email-delivery services. Some of these providers may process or store data outside South Africa, including in the United States or the European Union.

Where personal information is processed outside South Africa, POPIA requires that it be subject to a level of protection that is at least equivalent to POPIA's conditions — through the provider's own legal safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) or our agreement with them. We are finalising the specific list of providers and regions for this section and will update it here as that is confirmed.

4. How long we keep it

Contact-form and booking enquiries that don't turn into a client relationship are kept for up to 12 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.

Client project data is kept for the duration of the engagement, plus any period we're required to retain records under South African law (for example, financial and tax records are generally retained for 5 years).

You can ask us to delete information sooner, subject to any legal or contractual obligation we have to keep it.

5. Your rights under POPIA

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • be notified that we hold personal information about you and why;
  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • request that we correct, update, or delete personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, or misleading, or that we obtained unlawfully;
  • object to the processing of your personal information;
  • object to your information being used for direct marketing;
  • withdraw any consent you've given us, at any time, for future processing; and
  • lodge a complaint with us, or directly with the Information Regulator (details below).

6. Our Information Officer
